Can I use both Unwired and vividwireless services?

Yes. During the 30 day trial period, you can continue using your Unwired service at no charge. After 30 days your Unwired service will be deactivated, and only your mailbox will remain active.

During the 30 day trial period and while on the mail box plan, can I log into Unwired’s My Account?

Yes. All the Unwired My Account functions are still accessible.

What is the delivery cost if I take up the Unwired Upgrade Offer?

What is the home gateway device?

The home gateway is the ideal replacement for your old Unwired modem. You may connect up to five personal Wi-Fi enabled devices to the Internet at home. Add a phone plan or bundle to make phone calls - no fixed line required.

How is the vividwireless home gateway device different from my Unwired modem?

The home gateway is the ideal replacement for your Unwired modem, providing faster Wi-Fi access at home, with a stronger signal than your old modem. Multiple users can connect their personal Wi-Fi devices at home at the same time.

It’s great value--connect your smart phone via Wi-Fi and save on 3G data costs.  You can also use the home gateway to make phone calls without the need for a fixed phone line; just plug in your home phone and sign up to an optional phone service.

What ongoing contact can I expect from Unwired after I sign up to vividwireless?

You will receive a monthly invoice showing the $0 Unwired email plan. You will not be charged for this service.

I accepted the Upgrade Offer and signed up to a low monthly data plan. I want to change to a higher data allowance plan within my first month. How will this affect my first free month?

You will not benefit from the full free month if you move to a higher data plan during the first Upgrade month. Your next invoice will reflect a pro-rated charge for the number of days on the higher plan.

How does the Money Back Guarantee Policy work?

If during the first 30 days from activation of your upgraded service you are unable to receive a good signal call the Sales and Service Centre. They will attempt troubleshooting with you to improve the service. If this is unsuccessful you can cancel the vividwireless service  and return the home gateway device at no extra charge. We have extended the Money Back Guarantee for Unwired customers to 30 days so you can compare the services.

I’m happy with my vividwireless service. How do I cancel my Unwired service?

If after 30 days we don’t hear from you we will change your Unwired plan to the $0 email plan. If you do not use your Unwired email address for more than 3 consecutive months, we will automatically close your email address. You won’t be charged for your Unwired email service during this time.

What if I want to terminate my vividwireless fixed term contract early?

If you cancel before your contract period expires, an early cancellation fee will be charged to your account. Your actual cancellation fee will be calculated as follows: the number of months remaining on the contract multiplied by $20.

Can I go back to my Unwired account within the first 30 days?

If during the first 30 days from activation of your upgraded service you are unable to receive a good signal call the Sales and Service Centre. They will attempt troubleshooting with you to improve the service. If this is unsuccessful you can cancel the vividwireless service and return the home gateway device at no extra charge.

Your previous unwired service will be automatically reinstated within the next two business days. Your Unwired service fees will continue on your original plan and will be charged from the date that we reinstate your original Unwired plan. Fees will be debited on your usual billing date.

You will receive a reply-paid envelope in the mail to return your vividwireless device. 

I have selected an alternate ISP. How do I cancel both my Unwired and vividwireless accounts?

Please call vividwireless on 1300 327 837. Our Sales & Service representatives will cancel your vividwireless service. An early termination charge is payable if you cancel after the first month but before the expiry of your 6 month fixed term contract.

If you wish to cancel your Unwired plan, you’ll need to call Unwired on 1300 469 763.

How do I check my Unwired email once I sign up to vividwireless?

The same way that you always have. Go to the Unwired website and log into your Unwired email account. If you're using POP3 or another mail client it will work as usual.

Is it free to keep my Unwired email address when I sign up to a vividwireless data plan?

Yes.

The login details for the Unwired webmail portal will remain unchanged. This means that the Unwired service remains active in case it is required, or you receive a money back guarantee for the vividwireless service.

Unwired customers using MAC or Outlook will not be able to access emails as vividwireless does not have an SMTP server. You will have to use web mail.

How do I cancel my Unwired email address(es)?

If you do not use your Unwired email address for more than 3 consecutive months, we will automatically close your email address. You won’t be charged for your Unwired email service during this time. If you require immediate closure, please contact the Unwired Sales & Service Centre on 1300 469 763

If I change my vividwireless contact details, will it automatically update my Unwired contact details?

No, you need to enter your current contact details when you sign up to a vividwireless data plan.

What happens if I don't use my Unwired email account for 3 months?

We will close your Unwired email account if you don't use it for 3 consecutive months. We'll send you an email to let you know that we will discontinue your mail box after 2 months of inactivity.

Is there a limit to how many Unwired email addresses I can keep when I sign up to a vividwireless data plan?

No, you can keep all your email addresses when you move to vividwireless.

Once I have signed up with the Unwired Upgrade Offer, can I add more Unwired email addresses to my email account?

No.

I moved over to vividwireless from Unwired before Dec, 2011. Do I need to pay for my Unwired email service?

No. Previous Unwired customers that have already upgraded to vividwireless and have retained their Unwired email address will no longer be charged for the Unwired email service.

Can I access my Unwired email through the vividwireless portal?

Customers cannot access the Umail (Unwired email webmail) via the vividwireless My Account. You can only access your Unwired email via the Unwired portal.
